Recently, Oppo launched the Oppo Watch X in Europe, after it debuted in China back in March 2024. The smartwatch is very similar to the OnePlus Watch 2 in terms of its characteristics.
Technical specifications of Oppo Watch X
Oppo Watch X has a round design with a polished stainless steel case. It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal with a resolution of 466×466 pixels and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The display supports Always-on technology.
The watch has two physical controls: a rotating dial and a button on the right side. The watch is MIL-STD 810H certified for durability and is IP68 water resistant to a depth of 50 meters.
Oppo Watch X is powered by a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It uses two operating systems: WearOS 4 and RTOS. The Color OS runs on the W5 Gen 1 chip, while the RTOS, using a BES2700 chip with 4GB of eMMC memory, handles background tasks and light activities such as calls and notifications.
Two operating systems provide up to 100 hours of battery life, and a full charge takes about 60 minutes. The watch also has a VOOC fast charging function that provides a 10-minute battery charge for an entire day.
Health features include an 8-channel heart rate sensor and a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor for continuous monitoring of heart rate and blood oxygen, as well as stress tracking. It also offers sleep analysis, including snoring risk assessment.
The watch supports more than 100 sports modes with automatic recognition of activities such as running, walking, cycling and swimming. It includes a dual-band GPS (L1 + L5) with a 5-satellite positioning system (Beidou, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and QZSS) for accurate navigation.
Price and availability
The Oppo Watch X is already available in the UK at a discounted price of £279, and the future retail price will be £299. In the EU, the smartwatch will be sold for €329.
