A woman with tales of the world and a passionate hard worker is celebrating her 100th birthday today. Joan Cuthbert, was born on July 19, 1924, in Harrow and she has lived a busy life, between travels, jobs and being a mother to two, she admits to having lived a full life. With the dream to be a hairdresser, Joan lived up to her dad’s advice of having to work and earn her own money, she started working at Plumbers in Southampton at the age of 14.
