Renowned Holocaust researcher Yehuda Bauer died at the age of 98 in Jerusalem on Friday, the International Auschwitz Committee announced on Saturday. As a professor of Holocaust studies, Bauer shaped the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem in Jerusalem for many years, the committee stated in a press release. Christoph Heubner, the executive vice president of the International Auschwitz Committee, emphasized that Bauer is recognized worldwide as one of the most significant and impressive researchers of the Holocaust.
