A 30-year-old teacher, Faith Nwonye, of Landmark School, Mgbakwu, in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has been arrested for allegedly beating an eight-year-old pupil to coma. The Commissioner for Education, Ngozi Chuma-Udeh told journalists in her office on Monday that the school had been permanently shut down by the state government.
