The military has been mobilized in the north of Spain to bring hundreds of travellers to safety in the face of a severe winter storm. Around 500 vehicles, including lorries, were stuck in a kilometre-long traffic jam on the road between the towns of Sória and Ágreda, near the city of Zaragoza, on Friday evening due to heavy snowfall and freezing cold temperatures, as seen on television.
