Hundreds of people demonstrated in favour of a hostage release agreement outside US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s hotel on Monday during his visit to Israel. Blinken was meeting with relatives of the hostage at the time. The protesters called on Blinken to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to reach a deal. Blinken met with Netanyahu in Jerusalem in the afternoon. According to Israeli media reports, the meeting lasted three hours.
