A founder member of Sawbridgeworth Local History Society (SLHS) has been given an award for his contribution and ongoing involvement with the group. Former chairman, member, writer and researcher Theo van de Bilt received the award for services to local history from Hertfordshire Association for Local History at a ceremony at its annual meeting on Saturday (May 18).
