LANSING, Mich. — A group of Michigan Republicans sued Kristina Karamo on Friday, asking a judge in Kent County to officially declare that she’s been removed as chairwoman of the state’s GOP. “Ms. Karamo’s refusal to allow the committee and the Michigan Republican Party to move forward, particularly with an election cycle rapidly approaching, requires swift judicial intervention,” argued the lawsuit, filed by attorneys with the law firm Warner Norcross and Judd.
