The owners of a narrow boat moored on the River Stort will have that sinking feeling when they return to it. The boat was seen half submerged near Kecksys bridge in Sawbridgeworth. A picture of the scene was posted on Sawbridgeworth Facebook Group and it was suggested by one resident that heavy rain had caused the boat to sink. He added “as the water levels went up the boat floated up onto the bank then, as the water dropped, rolled it over into the river”. It is believed the owners have yet to be located.
