SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A tragic head-on collision occurred on CR-472 west of NE 42nd Boulevard on Monday morning, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old Oxford woman and serious injuries to two others. The incident involved a Cadillac CTS driven by a 52-year-old Ocala man and a Nissan Altima driven by the Oxford woman. The Ocala man was reportedly attempting to pass other vehicles when he entered the eastbound lane and collided nearly head-on with the Altima.
