Tokyo stocks opened higher Tuesday, bouncing back from sharp falls a day earlier, as buying was sparked across broad sectors by the Dow Jones index’s fifth consecutive day of gains overnight. In the first 15 minutes of trading, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 424.88 points, or 1.14 percent, from Monday to 37,813.50.
