European Union officials struck an optimistic note on Tuesday, at a meeting in Brussels where the new Polish government presented its plan to address rule of law concerns and unfreeze EU money being held back by Brussels. “I’m quite confident that we’ll work together to restore the rule of law in Poland,” EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders told reporters before the meeting.
