Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped a suspected drug-driver this morning in the town – only to find he was actually driving without insurance and on a provisional licence. Officers followed the vehicle as it was speeding on Lynn Road and as the driver’s pupils looked small they used the DrugWipe, which he passed. However, a computer check showed the driver had no insurance and was on a provisional driving licence with no L plates or supervision. The vehicle was seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act and the driver was reported for offences and will appear in court.
