Dutch authorities have seized around 3,600 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a shipment of bananas in the small southern port of Vlissingen. The drugs have a retail value of around €270 million ($290 million), the public prosecutor’s office announced on Thursday. They were discovered during an ordinary inspection in a shipment of bananas from Ecuador bound for Germany. Authorities said a 27-year-old suspect was arrested.
