Swap deals seem to be coming back into fashion in English football. Indeed, with Profit and Sustainability rules cracking down on big spending as of late, swap deals are becoming more and more common. Aston Villa did a part-exchange deal for Douglas Luiz earlier in this window, while Archie Gray joined Tottenham in a move that saw Joe Rodon go the other way. Spurs and Villa have both done swap deals already this summer, and another of these types of deals has been suggested. Indeed, Tottenham have apparently made an offer for Jacob Ramsey that would’ve seen Giovani Lo Celso head to Villa Park….
