Sevenoaks’ Kipp Popert won the second Golf for the Disabled Open at Woburn and victory was twice as sweet. Popert, who tops the world rankings for golfers with a disability, held his nerve to claim a one-shot victory over Brendan Lawlor on the Duchess Course, finishing +1 after 54 holes. A member of Wildernesse Golf Club, Popert, who has cerebral palsy, was edged by Ireland’s Lawlor in last year’s inaugural championship but went one better this time with a final-round 74.
