By Ruby Flanagan Aldi has revealed 10 “priority” locations where it wants to open new stores in the coming years. The discount supermarket chain has over 1,000 stores in the UK but has a long term plan to open a further 500 new branches. Around 100 of those new stores are planned for areas within the M25 – especially London as Aldi says there is “strong demand” for stores in the capital. Aldi plans to invest £500million investment in the new 100 stores which it says will create 3,500 new jobs in the region.
