Liverpool are reportedly close to signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as manager Arne Slot’s first summer signing at Anfield. According to The Athletic, Mamardashvili will put pen to paper on a move to the Reds, with the Premier League giants spending a rumoured £34m on his services. Liverpool identified the Euro 2024 star as a potential addition earlier in the summer and worked hard to fend off interest from Newcastle United, who were also interested in the keeper.
