Will Gilbank took a break from his A-level exams to claim a bronze medal at the National Madison Championships. The Birchwood High School student teamed up with James Ambrose-Parish to come third at the Olympic velodrome in Stratford. The madison is the only track discipline to be ridden as a pair and is highly technical, with the requirement for one of the riders to ‘hand-sling’ in their partner.
