The head of German manufacturing giant Bosch considers it unlikely that the price of heat pumps with fall in the foreseeable future. In comments to the Funke Media Group of newspapers published on Saturday, Bosch chief executive Stefan Hartung said that “heat pumps will probably never be cheaper than a simple gas boiler.” Heat pumps, he said, contain a lot of high-grade materials such as copper, the price of which is determined by the world market.
