Poland, the Czech Republic and the Baltic States have called on the European Commission to ban grain imports from Russia and Belarus to the European Union. “Profits from grain exports to the EU are being used by [Russia] to fund its ongoing war against Ukraine,” the EU countries’ agriculture ministers wrote in a letter to the commission obtained by dpa on Wednesday.
