GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A Kent County judge allowed Tuesday a lawsuit that asks the court to enforce Kristina Karamo’s removal as the Michigan Republican Party chairwoman to proceed, rejecting Karamo’s attempts to dismiss it. Judge J. Joseph Rossi’s ruling in circuit court was a victory for Karamo’s opponents within the state GOP and meant that hearings on whether an injunction against Karamo should be issued, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, can go forward.
