Each year, Chinese phone brands announce new smartphones, variants, and offers for the 618th Shopping Festival (June 18). New phones such as the iQOO Neo 9S Pro, Oppo Reno 12 series, Honor 200 lineup, and Vivo S19 series will be introduced just in time for the upcoming shopping festival. Today, Vivo vice president Huang Tao took to Weibo to confirm that the budget variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will debut during the “618” promotion.
Since its launch, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has captured 39 percent of the market, with a significant number of former Apple users switching to this foldable screen phone, Tao said. It has received widespread praise from consumers, who recommend it by 72 percent, making it the most popular product in the X series over the past two years.
To meet the growing demand for foldable screen phones, Vivo has decided to launch a new version of the X Fold 3 Pro with 12GB + 256GB of storage during the “618” promotion, starting at RMB 6,999 (~US$970). Tao said that this initiative aims to make sophisticated flagship phones more accessible, allowing more people to experience their practical and convenient features. In addition, Vivo will provide a 24-month interest-free installment plan with daily payments starting at RMB 9.7, making it easier for consumers to purchase this high-end foldable phone. In addition, Vivo will offer trade-in subsidies of up to RMB 1,400, and some models can be exchanged for RMB 0, giving consumers more options.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is currently the only Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 foldable phone available on the market. In China, it is available in two variants: 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB, priced at CNY 9,999 (~$1,380) and CNY 10,999 (~$1,520). It is available in black and white colors.
