A 90-year-old man who found himself locked in after an event in a church in the central German town of Apolda managed to sound the alarm by activating the church bells in the early hours, police said on Sunday. The man had earlier been reported missing after failing to return to the home for the elderly where he lives. A police search failed to locate him.
