A MAN is to go on trial accused of obstructing police. Joseph Gunning appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 25. The 33-year-old, of Morley Place, Hungerford, is charged with obstructing PC Downes in the execution of his duty at Morley Place on November 16 last year. Mr Gunning, who was legally represented at the hearing by Prashant Shah, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
