A personnel of the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, was on Friday injured in a hit and run accident. The accident, DAILY POST gathered, occurred near the Osun Government Secretariat, Abere, along the Gbongan-Osogbo Road. The driver of the vehicle was said to be at top speed when FRSC personnel at a roadblock waved him to stop. However, the driver travelling in a Lexus Jeep, did not stop and it was reported that he hit the FRSC officer and dragged him along the road until the victim fell off the vehicle.
