There was cause for celebration as Cambridge Nomads Hockey Club last weekend as the ladies’ first team secured promotion from the East Women’s League Division 3 North West. A 3-0 home win at the expense of Kettering II ensured that the squad will be playing at a higher level next term. Goals from Ali Billing and Ellie Martin established a 2-0 cushion at half-time, and Sarah Warren added a third in the second half to complete the job.
