An 82-year-old wrong-way driver was killed in a crash on Route 1 in Woodbridge on Saturday morning, authorities said. Richard Becker, of East Brunswick, was traveling south in the northbound lanes near Ford Avenue when he struck another car at 9:45 a.m., Woodbridge police said Wednesday. Becker died of his injuries later that day at an area hospital. A man who was a front-seat passenger in Becker’s car suffered minor injuries, police said.
