Abolishing the “two-child” benefit cap on payments from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has effectively been ruled out by Labour, according to a Government minister. Treasury chief secretary Darren Jones appeared to confirm the controversial policy will remain past the upcoming Autumn Budget on October 30 in an interview earlier today.
