By Matt Hladik Syracuse’s attempt to cut into USF’s early lead in tonight’s Boca Raton Bowl did not go as planned. Late in the first quarter, the Orange had a 47-yard field goal attempt go awry when a mishandled snap resulted in kicker Brady Denaburg trying to run with the loose ball and make something out of nothing. Instead, Denaburg was stripped by a USF defender, and Bulls defensive back Aamaris Brown gladly scooped up the gift and raced 64 yards for his team’s second touchdown of the opening frame.
