Germany’s Federal Network Agency has auctioned off the rights for the construction of two wind farms in the North Sea for just over €3 billion ($3.2 billion). The contracts concern two areas around 120 kilometres north-west of Helgoland, a small German archipelago in the North Sea. One has a capacity of 1,500 megawatts, and the other 1,000 megawatts, the Bonn-based agency said on Friday.
