TAMPA, Fla. \- The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) has issued a water quality advisory for Bahia Beach due to elevated levels of Enterococcus bacteria. Water samples collected on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, indicated that the bacteria levels exceed the state’s recommended guidelines for safe recreational water activities.
