Football fans in the Herts and Essex area who take illegal drugs with them to matches in London have been issued with a warning by Met police. The force says it is working closely with clubs in the capital – including Premier League giants Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham – to deal with fans attending games in possession of drugs, which can lead to violence and anti-social behaviour. A football banning order can be imposed for a minimum of three years for any fan found with drugs on a matchday.
