Unidentified planes late Friday hit targets near the Syrian-Iraqi border, a war monitor reported. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights spoke of a huge explosion and said planes were heard at the same time in Al-Sukariyah in the al-Bou Kamal countryisde on the Syrian-Iraqi border. The area is mainly controlled by Iranian and pro-Iranian militias, the head of the Observatory Rami Abdel Rahman told dpa.
