A routine traffic stop led police to toll dodgers who allegedly owe nearly a half-million dollars in unpaid debts, authorities said Thursday. Two drivers who were stopped by Port Authority police on March 19 for license plate violations in two separate incidents at the Lincoln Tunnel allegedly owe the bi-state authority almost $472,000 in unpaid tolls and violations.
