A one-size-fits-all booking system for Essex County Council recycling centres is not working for Uttlesford. That was the message to the authority from Cllr Paul Gadd (Residents for Uttlesford, Saffron Walden) as members were told of huge disparities in the level of support for the policy in different districts. Around 20% of people in Uttlesford say they are in favour of the online system, while in Rochford around 90% backed pre-booking.
