Austria’s Greens are going into the EU elections in June with climate activist Lena Schilling as their designated top candidate. Speaking in Vienna on Monday, Green Party leader and Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler called the 23-year-old Schilling “one of the most important voices for climate protection and for young people in Austria.” Kogler said he had gotten to know Schilling as a very committed and competent young woman.
