A flood alert is now in place for several areas across the district. The Environment Agency has said that the River Trent levels are forecast to rise at the Lowdham River gauge as a result of persistent rainfall. Consequently, the flooding of properties was a risk from 12noon today, with The Railway Pub having already flooded. Areas most at risk are Lowdham Main Street, and Station Road, including Merevale, and Limetree Gardens.
