Oppo Reno 12 series: What to expect
Display: Both the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are expected to have large OLED displays with a diagonal of around 6.7 inches. The Pro model boasts a slightly higher resolution (FHD+ vs. 1.5K) and a smoother refresh rate (120 Hz vs. standard).
Processor: The Reno 12 Pro is rumored to be equipped with a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Star Speed Edition chip, while the Reno 12 may be content with the Dimensity 8250.
RAM and storage: Both phones can offer up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, although the Pro version can have an additional 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Cameras: The star of the show seems to be the 50-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS, which is expected on both models. They may also have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The Pro version will add a 50MP front-facing camera, while details of the standard Reno 12 are yet to be confirmed.
Battery: Both phones are expected to feature a large 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Other features: Both models are likely to have an in-screen fingerprint scanner, Android 14-based ColorOS 14 operating system, and IP dust and water resistance rating. Reno 12 may have an infrared blaster.
