After launching in China earlier this month, Xiaomi is expected to release its first flip phone, the Mix Flip, globally. Although the company has not officially confirmed this, a Chun on X (formerly Twitter) informant reported earlier this week that the Mix Flip will be available internationally, but only in select markets.
The same informant has now shared more details about the foldable phone. According to the leak, the Mix Flip will be available in two color options: black and rose gold. This is a slight change from the three colors offered in China: black, white, and a special “Phoenix Feather Fiber Edition”.
The leak also suggests that the Mix Flip will soon be available in the European Union, as well as in East and Southeast Asia.
Perhaps the most interesting thing is the rumored price. The leak claims that the Mix Flip will cost about $100 cheaper than its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. Since the price of the Z Flip 6 starts at $1099, this will position the Mix Flip around the $999 mark. The reason for the cheaper price is the lack of wireless charging and the use of a regular USB 2.0 port.
In terms of specifications, the Mix Flip boasts an outstanding 4.01-inch display on the lid, the largest in its category. This screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The internal main display matches these characteristics and has a diagonal of 6.86 inches.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is paired with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The image processing system includes a dual Leica rear camera, consisting of a 50-megapixel OIS main sensor and a 50-megapixel floating telephoto lens. And for selfies, there’s a 32-megapixel lens placed in a notch with a perforator. A 4780 mAh battery with 67W fast charging keeps the light on.
