Hours after the Lions won the bigger game between the cities in the NFL divisional playoffs, the Wings did their part Sunday night with a 2-1 victory over the Lightning. Daniel Sprong broke a 1-1 tie in the second period and goaltender Alex Lyon again made the lead stand with a superb 28-save performance.
