Police and Crime Commissioner Darryl Preston has welcomed extra funding worth £1m to ramp up patrols to target serious violence and anti-social behaviour. In addition to the record number of police officers in Cambridgeshire: 1,732 will be in post by the end of March, this funding will deliver additional, frequent uniformed ‘hotspot’ enforcement patrols in areas of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough where data shows a high prevalence of violence and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
