Armed police swooped on a residential street and made arrests after understanding weaponry could be held inside a property. The force descended onto Waterloo Street, in Maidstone, at around 3.30pm this afternoon (April 19). A witness said they saw armed police, multiple emergency vehicles and a drone flying over the road and then heard a “couple of people shouting”. A man and woman were then arrested almost three miles away in Bicknor Road on suspicion of malicious communications offences.
