A person was bitten by what was later determined to be a rabid raccoon while hiking at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which spans Pennsylvania and New Jersey, officials said. The person was on the McDade Recreational Trail between Bushkill Access and the Valley View Campground on March 14, a spokeswoman for the national park said.
