German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex will launch a new turbine for the US market, the company announced on Monday. Production of the N169/5.X turbine, with a power rating of up to 5.5 megawatts and 169 metre rotor diameter, is scheduled to start in 2026. The new proposed turbine is particularly suitable for wind regions in the US without intense turbulence and with low to medium wind speeds, Nordex said.
