The Armed Forces of Ukraine have recorded facts of the enemy using balloons of various sizes to organize radio communications in various areas.
This was reported by military communications expert Serhiy Flesh (Beskrestnov).
“Lifting altitudes are 500-3000 meters, volumes are up to 15-300 cubic meters, and the distance from the fronts is 20-50 km,” the expert said.
He also showed a photo of Russian positions with a balloon. The photo shows a 35-40 cubic meter probe capable of lifting a weight of up to 20 kg.
“It’s difficult and expensive to fill the probe with helium every time, so they keep it this way. It also ensures a quick launch,” adds Flesh.
