A recently-elected Chatteris councillor has kickstarted his work by starting a Speedwatch campaign. British Democrat Ken Perrin said that he had received a large number of complaints of drivers carrying out wheelies and doughnuts at the junction of Station Street and Station Road in Chatteris. Ken has contacted Speedwatch through Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the first task is to get community-minded people to volunteer for the scheme. Police will give full training to all volunteers.
