A 10-month leak that has seen water pouring down Stansted’s Grove Hill is not coming from mains pipes, Affinity Water has confirmed. Tests carried out on samples of surface water had come back showing that it did not contain any evidence of chlorine, which is used in drinking water to keep it safe and clean.
