Samsung usually follows a predictable schedule for releasing new products each year. Its flagship Galaxy S series is released in the first quarter, followed by a second Unpacked event in the third quarter to unveil the latest foldable models.

So far, we’ve seen a similar launch pattern in 2024. But a new leak suggests that Samsung may break this tradition by holding a third event later this year.

Ice Universe Tipster, known for his accurate tech leaks, hinted on Weibo about a possible October Samsung press conference. According to the insider, the event will be dedicated to the launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 series (including Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra) and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim or the China-exclusive Galaxy W25.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim has been a topic of discussion for some time now. As the name suggests, it is expected to have a thinner design than the standard Z Fold 6, making it more pocket-friendly.

But to achieve a slimmer form factor, Samsung may have to drop S-pen compatibility, according to reports. The foldable smartphone is likely to keep the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor from the new Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is rumored to be launched in only a few markets. A leak by Ice Universe suggests that it will be released in Korea, while the Chinese market will see it as the Galaxy W25.

The most concrete possibility could be the long-awaited Galaxy Tab S10 series. Rumors about these flagship tablets have been circulating for several months now.

The series is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, moving away from the flagship Qualcomm chip the company used for its previous Galaxy Tab S series tablets.

It is important to remain cautious as these are just speculations based on a single leak. Samsung has yet to confirm any details about the October event. However, Ice Universe’s track record lends credence to this possibility.
