Samsung is working on a new model of the Galaxy Wide series smartphone. The Galaxy Wide 7 has just been spotted on a certification list, hinting at its imminent launch. This upcoming phone has been spotted with specifications similar to another existing Galaxy model.
The Galaxy Wide 7 has been spotted on the Google Play store under the model number SM-M156S. An online database confirms that it is equipped with a MediaTek MT6835V/ZA chipset, which is a Dimensity 6100+. This processor has two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six cores clocked at 2 GHz, and it is paired with a Mali G57 GPU. Samsung’s new smartphone will also run on Android 14 with the custom One UI out of the box.
The listing also indicates that it may be available in three RAM configurations, viz: 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. On the front of the Google Play Console, it says that it has a resolution of 450DPI and 1080 x 2340 pixels or FHD+. Unfortunately, no other details such as battery, camera, or release date were provided during the certification. But judging by these specifications, it may have characteristics similar to the Galaxy M15. This model was quietly launched back in March 2024 with the Dimensity 6100+ SoC.
The M15 is powered by a massive 6000 mAh battery, which is paired with a 25W leading fast charger. It features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 850 nits peak brightness, and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The rear panel has a triple camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Other features include a fingerprint scanner on the side panel, a custom One UI 6 shell based on Android 14 and Bluetooth 5.3.
